Not literally.
That's my dad's phrase for way too busy. Days full to the brim and can't hit the hay soon enough in the evenings. Lots to tell about - will post over the weekend. In the meantime...
Half the garden planted now that it's warmish...
Took this during a post ride rinse, sorry it's sandy. I've trimmed Val weekly for an entire cycle now... Both of us are liking the results :D
We've had some stellar rides lately. Bareback, while we continue the never ending quest to build Val's topline back up so his saddle will fit again. We've been having a great time. Love my horse (((♥♥♥)))
The hoof looks great - I was wondering how you were getting on with the trimming, obviously the answer is pretty darn good.
ReplyDeleteLove that saying!!!! So funny!
ReplyDeleteYou and Val just radiate happiness in your photos.
Hey, I know that feeling! It's the time of year...between trying to get the gardens planted, trying to make time to ride and working full time, I am busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest!
ReplyDeleteVal's feet look great! I need to start staying on top of Gabe's feet between trims, too.
Oh! Where did you get your garden fencing? I need something to keep my chickens out of my herbs and all I've been able to find is chicken wire...and I don't want to use chicken wire, I'd rather use something like you have.
ReplyDeleteThat is the first time I've heard that saying and I love it, now I must incorporate it into my phraseology!
ReplyDeleteHa! Thats one of my husbands favorites along with "busier than a one-armed paper hanger" Everything is looking good!
ReplyDeleteYour garden set-up is impressive, wow!

ReplyDeleteThat fencing is plastic and comes in rolls. Better than metal for me because everything rusts so fast here. I attach it with zip ties so it's take downable and reuaseable. It came from Ace Hardware, but also saw rolls at Lowe's / Home Depot.
I'm in the same boat... SO busy, but I love it! Love this time of year! :)
ReplyDeleteVal's hoof looks fantastic! I do a touch up on Lilly's hooves about every other week. There's not much to trim, but I find it works better than letting her go for weeks at a time.
Love the hoof and love the garden!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Your Dads Saying Is Cute!
ReplyDeleteI Adore Hearing Of Your Dad, Often.
Good Work On All Fronts C!
I love that horse too, my blogging friend.
ReplyDeleteomg where has that saying been my WHOLE life?! LOVE it and stealing it.
ReplyDeleteVals hooves (well hoof I suppose in that photo) looks great!! :)
i served in the Navy for many years. i have a plaque that says "when you're up to your ass in alligators, it is difficult to remind yourself that your initial objective was to drain the swamp"
